#1 Where am I bleeding from?

Just got back from a hot 200km drive in my S3, but remained nice and cool with my recently installed AC. A mandatory inspection revealed oil forming on the cross bar that is part way along under the motor, as pictured.
Now before I conduct a more detailed examination to see where exactly it may be bleeding from, I thought I’d take the lazy option and ask my fellow learned enthuisiasts if anyone has had the same experience and may be able to pinpoint the source of this bleed? :scratchheadyellow:

Thanks;

John - when I read the title of your post, I was going to say "England" - but having read the post itself, I guess that wouldn't be too helpful..... Sorry.... Christmas greeting from over here.... hope you find the source - or the sauce!

First places I would check would be the rubber bung in the hole used to access the timing chain tensioner and the oil filter/oil cooler assembly.
Cheers,

Check the colour of the oil; yellow/brown is engine, red (check yours) is steering hydraulic oil ...
If it is steering, check if the steering rack bellows are also full, leaking oil?
