The tacho on my V12 has given up the ghost ( sometimes it will work after whacking it a bit) any ideas as to where to start looking?

Mine has been playing up, tried another one in it to confirm it was faulty.

Sent mine off to John Ostick for repair

Also found out the Rev Counter needs to be connected to allow the car to start

Make sure it has a good earth connection.

I recommend Nossinger, in New York, a Smiths dealer. Top notch work. pay a little bit extra in shipping, but worth it. Arrives just as quick as any home shop....should you find yourself unhappy with their work.

Good luck !
