#1 Kienzle clock

Does anyone know a place that can repair a Series 3 Kienzle clock. There is power going to it but no movement - time just stands still!

There's a couple of possibilities in the US. Don't know about the UK. Maybe a search in the archives ?

Hi Bernie,

I may be able to help you, as a clock restorer and also a fellow Series 3 E Type owner. The clock in my car is running slow and is on my to do list. I plan to strip the movement and clean and service the mechanical part in the next couple of months and If the clock is straightforward and can be restored, then I can take a look at yours.

Alternatively, you can find a clock restorer on the British Horological Institute’s website, which is www.bhi.co.uk
They have a list of professional clock and watchmakers by area.

Hi Bernie,
Have you tried JDO: http://www.jdo1.com/clocks.html
Not used him for clocks but great service for other instruments.
Cheers

Contact jaguarclock.com. . Mike Ecke, the best in the business. You can also find him on the cool kat web site.
He is mentioned on this forum many times. Quick turn around, even though he is on this side of the Pond.

Sent mine from down under and still a reasonable turn around time.

Brought mine to my local watch maker - a typical oldfashioned shop. He repaired it for 150€. Said that he was not impressed by the quality that he found inside of the watch. That made me leave the replacement watch in the car. That replacement watch was a Smiths watch from an early S3. Goes a little slow though.

Good luck

I sent mine to JDO mentioned earlier in this thread. Had the quartz upgrade which is brilliant because the clock now always tells the right time, the only difference is you cannot hear the tick tock anymore but in my OTS I don't care.
