E Type V12 Brakes-Upgrade

Hallo,

I would like to upgrade the 3 piston front brakes to 4-piston. The would be to can use stock vented disc brakes with pads from XJ-S. I have EBC Greenstuff pads on my XJ-S V12 with wire wheels and braje dust is REALLY less. Therefore I prefer to use XJ-S pads. Wilwood and AP need all specual own pads abd that is a very important point, because if you need replacement in the future.. available?

Please remember, E Type V12 = S3 NOT S1 or S2, because most of the kits are for these models.

Are you saying that to overcome brake dust from your front pads you want to fit 4 pot calipers and XJS discs so that you can use XJS EBC pads?
If that is correct it sounds crazy to me!
If you are happy with the dust from the Greenstuff pads on an XJS why not just fit Greenstuff pads to the existing calipers on your E-Type? Why risk unbalancing the braking effort by changing the front brakes as you don't say anything about the back?

Hello Pete,

I already have fiited on my E Type V12 rear calipers from XJ-S with a 3.07 Differential. A car always uses much more brakes front then rear. The discs are the same XJ-S and E Type V12, so why not upgrading to 4 piston?
