I have suffered my first component failure of the year! My 7 year old Delco Freedom battery is slowly giving up it's ability to hold a charge.
I have used Delco freedom (or Delphi) batteries in a number of vehicles over the years and found this brand long lasting and reliable. And very importantly it was also the correct size for the carrier and clamp.
Has anyone found a battery that fits the S3 carrier/clamp without the need for modification and is of an appearence in keeping with original Lucas battery?

SNG Barret have them for about ?100. I haven't been able to find the right one at the normal places, and the guy behind the counter at Lucas didn't even have listings for Jaguars prior to 1998!
