I purchased a hardtop for my type 1973 and wondering on the following points:

a) are there pictures of fixing it on the rear?
b) to protect the painting have you put a strap on it?

Hi Markus,

It attaches at the front windscreen to the same fixings as the soft top. There are no fixings on the rear but there are two fixing points on each side just behind the seats that are bolted into place.

Suggest you use some clear film to cover the rear panel, such as the type of paint protection film that you can wrap cars in. If you don't use it the rubber on the rear of the hardtop will damage the paint.
