US only side indicators/flashers

Hi,
I am looking for discussion threads on replacing the US only side / indicator lights with smaller, more discrete
units. I searched the forum but could not find any threads on this topic. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any solutions out there (other than welding up the holes to return to Euro spec which is a costly solution if it's to be done well.) Any advice, thoughts ? Thanks.

To some degree, how well you succeed may depend on what colour your car is, as some contrasting combinations stick out more than others.

Three suggestions:-

1/ Get some sticky tape, spray it body colour and stick it over the gap. If you have a dark colour, it may then become invisible;

2/ use xj12 side repeaters - they are a slimmer profile than the etype ones of the same Lucas part number.

3/ I make these side repeaters and can do you a set in any colour you like, e.g. in clear or smoked plastic.

Thanks for your swift reply, much appreciated. Do you have any photos of the clear indicators that you make, or a website link you can steer me towards? Are they the same size as the original lenses or are the smaller / slimmer in size? Thanks.

As a part of my restoration which included a bare metal change of color, I deleted the US side marker lights and got the grey lenses from Marek.
I then built in the sidemarker lights in both front (amber) and tail lights (red) using flat colored LEDs.
