Put my V12 on a dyno today pre some engine work and came up with 200 BHP. How does this compare with anyone else who has tested their car.
I am a bit sceptical over the original BHP claims from Jaguar but very interested in the views of others.

These dynos are like accountants, they can be made to give you the answer you want, through a plethora of correction factors, freely adjustable by the operator.
That's why I place no value on the actual numbers but rather the shape of the curve.
Typical dyno operators also do not understand the value of plotting the curve from 1000rpm.
Then we are assuming that your car really is in top tune, with optimal fuelling and timing, cams timed correctly and good compression (not 7.8 usa spec).
The figure of 200hp could be hp delivered at the wheels, which would not be stellar, But not terrible either.
