Hi Kim.

Series 3 cars are not my area of expertise, and others will chime in, but the original OPUS ignition system on the V12 is prone to unreliability, especially when it gets hot.

Hi Kim.
Next time you have the failure, try cooling the OPUS ignition amplifier (the ribbed box connected to the distributor and located either in the vee of the engine or on the front upper frame) using a bag of frozen peas or similar. If it works, then likely the Amplifier has gone past its best and a new system, probably from SNG Barratt is in order.

Good luck,

Simon

Have u tried a new coil?
Also, could it be fuel, are your spark plugs wet or dry?
When was the fuel filter last replaced?
How long have u had the lumination, has it ever worked reliably, what is the last work you did on the car before this problem?

A loose electrical connection in the ignition module is one of the common reasons why your car stall while driving.

Update it was the Lumenition ignition module
That was the problem
Change to Lumenition Performance Ignition
And the problem went away
