#1 Help with brake m/cyl. pushrod clip?
Hello all, really need some help locating a part which locates the brake master cylinder pushrod in the master cylinder piston end. We appear to have misplaced the original part somewhere. We have a pushrod with a machined recess about 5mm from the end of the shaft which goes into the m/cyl piston. However, we do not have the washer/ clip which holds the pushrod against the piston ( which is an open tube ). Can anyone help with a picture of said part or better still help us locate one to complete the build. Many thanks in anticipation ...

There isn't a clip, the pushrod is inserted into the hollow end of the piston and is retained by the brake pedal.

the car is a 73 OTS S3 V12. Really doesn't seem a very good solution/ design to have the pushrod just loose in the piston - surely this can't be how it was designed?

As William Douglas used to say : "What you don't fit don't give no trouble"
There is absolutely no functional reason to keep the pushrod attached to the master cylinder : if it reaches the stage of being disconnected from the brake pedal then it is not going to work anyway

The piston moves in a straight line. The pushrod doesn't, it is pivoted. The design accommodates this and lots of adjustment, after which It won't be loose.
