Windshield and seat height
#1 Windshield and seat height
Has anyone else suffered from neck ache after a long journey. my S3 1972 roadster seems to have the seat position too high . I have removed the spacers and gained about 3/4 inch but it’s still not enough. I am thinking of removing the sun visors as they cut off a good 2 inches of the windshield view. Anyone done this ?

I have. I took my visors out. I don’t miss them.

Have you had new seat foams?
The new foams are much denser. I had about an inch skimmed off the bottom of the foam to lower the seat base height which helped a lot. Over the years the foams have compressed a bit as well which has resolved the issue. At 6’3” I am now comfortable with the seat height.

Hi MX5 seats and fosway runners lower seats a good bit plus the seat goes further back and doesn't rub against hood frame, far more comfortable and keep your original seats in good condition for when you come to sell the car
