I have a perfect body, well i would say that but it is perfect because it is as it left the factory and has no rust.

But the bootlid is high of the wings on both sides and will need to be bent down on both sides to retension it.

How is it done as i need to know before i stupidly destroy an otherwise perfect 33 year old panel.

I would sugest using a good bodyshop, it involves pieces of wood, a lot of time and skill.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

"Wood" this be the great lump of timber wedged in the middle of the boot and even pressure applied each side!!!

The body is down to the metal and the boot is structurally sound but raised along the wing lines either side by about 10mm, i am inclined to use wood and a heavy hammer to tap down these edges in situ until flush etc and then lead to smooth.

I am in no hurry so will leave it about a month before coming back to it.

Thanks for the input so far
