#1 Recovering S3 OTS Seats

Post by Brewer » Sat Jan 29, 2022 5:21 am

I'm about to resto my S3 seats and headrests- cracked leather, rotted foam, split seams. I want to make sure I order everything I need to do the job in one shot. Anyone been through this who can advise? Besides the foam for headrest, seat & backrest, diaphragm, and covers - what else? I see there's a sort of webbing on the back, clips, wooden parts, ??? I'll likely farm out the job to a good shop - I did the seats of a '74 Dodge Challenger and I'm pretty good, but not E-Type good. Any suggestions for a shop in SW New Hampshire or SE Vermont?
All advice gratefully accepted.

Hi Richard...have you used the US JagLovers forum.....you more likely to get good local knowwedge of restorers near to you.....the upholsterer you coose to do the job will probably be able to supply and make the parts you need...i would hold fire ordering parts till you decide who will do the job......Steve
