They are an unusual screw/bolt available at Barratt's
They are very pound of them
I doubt you'd find a local substitute locally

It's not proprietary. It'll be something like 6BA or the relevant UNF size. I have a shop near me that specialises in things like these but I'm not passing that way again until next Wednesday.

The problem is not the screw itself, but the threads in the housing. I need to refresh one of them and I don’t think they are UNF.

3/16" (8) UNF is my guess. 36tpi.
If it's 32tpi it's UNC.
If you have a screw measure the diameter and tpi.
That will tell you.

Lizzie, if you’re happy using stainless screws then you can easily use one as a thread cleaner. With a needle file cut a small V along the length of the thread. This gives it a cutting action and will help clean the hole threads.
A method of cleaning all threads if you haven’t got the correct taps or dies. Take a stainless nut (as they give a sharper cut) file a V or two Vs into the thread and you can clean up bolts quite easily, too.

The screws are 6-32 unc. If you don’t mind them being modern replacements that may not have the correct pozi or Philips head of the originals then they are readily available on eBay, etc.

I tried a 6/32" UNC on a spare housing and it wound in perfectly. Use 3/4" length
kind regards
