Felt like my baby was not firing on all cylinders. When I removed them ,all B 1-6 plugs. Side on which carbs are mounted were coke black. Any suggestions

Worth checking the choke cables are not sticking in the "on" position. Also worth checking is the height of the main jet tubes in the centre of the carbs.

I've just re-read your question and now ask: Are you sure you have a V12? as both sides of the car should have carbs mounted not just the B side as stated in your opening statement.
