Hello everyone, after several part changed on the front mechanism (Shock absorber, ball joint, silent bloc, steering mechanism, etc...), set up of parallelism, reduction of gap, etc... car is not safe on little deformed roads (Ok on flat and clean road). Car goes suddently on left or on right but principaly on left (French road)-> Maybe the issue could come from the tyres. Tyres hasn't been changed since I've bought the car (5 years but no utilisation) and I don't know how old year they are. Do you think it can be the cause of my problems? Or do you have an idea where the problem comes from?

David, how was the geometry of the front suspension and steering checked? It is not easily done with modern tracking equipment. Search on here for castor (or caster) and you’ll find various comments about how it can be checked. To me your symptoms suggest the castor is in accurate.
However, have you check the tyres for uneven wear, correct tyre pressures? There are date codes on tyres, a check on the internet will show you how to read them.

Hi it sounds to me to be way out of track a quick check can be done by parking it on level ground measure between both front wheels front and back it should be virtually the same length if its way out longer at front its toeing out shorter its towing in normally if it is darting one way or the other its toeing out

Mybe (?) each of the front wheels have worn out uneaven.
Change the wheels from front to back and the back wheels to the front.
Make again a test-drive on a bad street. Maybe the problems disappeare.
I have bought a Gunsons trackrite tool. A german oldtimer magazine has compared the results with a professionell alignement-tool. The difference was only very small. Therefor you can check the wheel alignement with this tool. Price is roundabout 55 pound.

Torsion bars were replaced correctly and not inverted ?

Thank you for you reply! Ralph, torsion bar (the one that replace the suspension spring I mean) hasn't been removed, just disconnected.

Is this a joke? You cant drive without tortion bars, the suspension will just bottom out & be undriveable.

I think there is a language translation issue here. I'm going to say he's referring to the anti-roll bar as being disconnected. An ARB is indeed a torsion spring, and could be referred to as a torsion bar, though that is not the normal term in English.
