#1 Replacing Lucas OEM Opus ignition with PerTronix 9LU-1122a help request

I wish to talk with someone who has actually installed a PerTronix 9LU-1122A ignition system on a 1974 Jaguar Series 3 XKE V12 roadster. I realize that Jaguar made many in-production changes, but wish to review actual experiences from people who have made this ignition change-over. The instructions from PerTronix are brief and incomplete. I have already discovered some issues with the kit from PerTronix.

I am putting putting the distributor back into the engine after a heat-induced valve seat drop-out issue that required heads removal. I chose to 'overhaul' the engine at that time and am doing the final re-assembly / installation / upgrades at this time.

I am puzzling with wiring changes, distributor timing on re-installation, and testing verification of the change.

Photos and comments are appreciated.

I have this on my XJS.

Very straightforward installation and works perfectly.

I ended up completely bypassing the resistor block.

Only problem I have is that my tacho doesn't work, but it didn't before either.
