Do XJS rear brake calipers fit series 3

Hi,
According to the etype parts list the rear calipers on the series 3 have part numbers 11832/3 but some sites suggest you can use the xjs calipers part numbers AAU3378/9. Can anyone confirm this and whether they are a straight fit without any modifications. Also what are the differences between the two as they look identical in the pictures. The price for the XJS version are considerably less than those given for the etype.

Hi Dave...I have no idea if there are minor differences....the AAU number you quote was also used in Xj6 models....they will fit on the diff...note the handbrake caliper is different on the E type.....re price are you comparing like for like....originals refurbished vs aftermarket repro?...stainless pistons etc....originals refurbished are best....if you use repro you could always run into issues
