Hi All,

I’m replacing an old aftermarket Facet fuel pump on a 1972 V12 and installed the SU twin electronic pump.
It starts clicking & pumping okay, but the engine will only idle, cannot rev the engine then intermittent clicks, then cuts out and engine stops.
Any ideal what the problem is?

Or should I go for a replacement facet pump with a fuel filter/regulator?

Is this a new SU pump.....are both pumps working....disconnect the fuel line in the engine bay and check that you can get full flow from the pumps...connect a pipe into a bucket/can and check the flow....Steve

It's an unused pump maybe dormant for 1 or 2 years.
Both pumps start ticking.
I've removed and tested on the bench - fuel does flow through - then pumps splutter as if there was a break in power & stop.

You can repair or send to Burlan to repair.....Steve
