Does anyone know where to buy these or could post a couple of pictures + dimensions for me to make up 2 as I cant seem to find.

Hi Nigel,

I hope this answer isn't too late, I suspect the reason you have had no answers is because it is so hard to get photos and measure the washers. Like you I had no idea of the shape of the washers - my car had no bonnet when I bought it.

I made mine and these are the best pictures I could get. I made them from Stainless Steel, about 18 swg which you need for reasonable strength. They are a kind of flat C shape, with a hole for the screw in the back of the washer. The top flange of the C slots into the trough formed behing the grille bars and the lowest one has to be trimmed so the width of the lowest part of the C is just the same width as the motif bar at that point. These are the best photos I could get:
