Hi everyone.

I have now done about 100 miles in my recommissioned v12 and she seems to be going better and better with every mile.?

One problem I do have is with the brakes. They pull me up in a nice straight line and if I jump on them they will lock up as expected. The thing is there seems to be rather too much pedal travel unless I dab them once before applying them.?

By doing this double touch braking they are excellent, I'm quite surprised how strong they are. I have tried flushing and bleeding them through but still to no avail.?

I have visually inspected everything and it all looks good with no leaks. I don't want to start replacing things at random as that's an expensive way to be going. I have looked at what parts do what but I'm still unsure on the compensators job, could this be at fault? The car has been stood for several years so perishable components may have... Erm, perished?!

Has anyone else had any similar problems??

Mine do the same (S1) especially after some spirited winding road driving. I think it is because the discs push the pads away further than required especially after cornering. Try a few stops in a straight line and see what happens. If it is still there maybe the discs are not running true.

mine does the same, the double pump on the brake pedal is a common quirk of the v12's - ithink it related to a minor leak somewhere near the top of the brake pedal, get your head in the footwell and look for white gunk where the pedal meets the cylinder as a tell tale sign. however i dont mind it, you get used to double pumping at the time :)
