Post by jonhall88 » Tue Jul 02, 2013 10:10 pm

Anyone out there fitted a delay for the wiper blades on a ser 3 ?
Its a bit of a pain in light rain to keep switching them on and off so any help / parts required and fitting - electrickery not being my strongest point

Dear Jon,

I made one for my car. The details are on David Lacey's website. I gather places like Halfords would possibly stck something similar - that'd be much cheaper than a "specialist".

kind regards
Marek

Dear Jon,

If you pm me your email address, I can send you an updated copy.

I have mine controlled by the choke switch as I have a fuel injected engine. The more you pull the lever out, the faster it wipes.

kind regards
Marek

Hi,

David Lacey's excellent site is still available, but most, if not all of the downloads are gone. I don't know why this is, maybe he simply doesn't maintain the site any longer.

Anyway, I did manage to find a back up site about a year ago and download most of the excellent guides and some of the photos. I do have the windscreen wiper upgrade, so if anyone needs it I can probably send it if you pm me. Of course, Marek, the original designer of this upgrade has offered to send the updated version, so this may not be necessary any longer.

Regards,

Simon
