#1 Door seal adhesive?

I'm new to this lovely machine and have a steep learning curve ahead!
I am fitting new rubber door seals which fit in the chrome channel running across the top and down the front of the window frames.
I hear silicone is not recommended as nothing will stick in the future. Could someone help with a recommendation of what adhesive to use?
Many thanks

Excellent, thanks for your speedy reply Chris. Yes based in UK but have taken on a US spec Series 3 2+2.

Rafa : I should have read your post more carefully - I was thinking that you were referring to the door jamb seals rather than the ones on the chrome. Nevertheless, a word with Andy at Hutsons should point you in the right direction

No adhesive used or required. The seals are fed into the window frame from the lower front and curve around over the top to the 'dead end' at the top corner of the window frame. They don't fall out and I'd certainly HATE to ever have to remove one that was glued into that chromed brass frame.

Thanks Pete and Chris, I should get them tomorrow from Martin Robey, and will have a fiddle before calling Andy.
