Hi, I've long been searching for means of reducing lock to lock steering wheel turns on my series 3. Companies offer quick racks on non hydraulic type ie Series 1 & 2. One company offers kit using Ford rack which improves feel but no reduction in turns ( 3 1/2 ).
I'm thinking of commissioning one of several gear manufacturers to make me a bespoke rack and pinion that reduces lock to lock turns to 3 or even 2 1/2. Anyone care to comment?
