Hi,
Bought an E-type V12 74. There is a little work on it. One of the problems is that the windows (on both sides) do not close against the rubber in the roof. The height is ok, but it seems that the windows should be inclined vertically a bit more to the centre of the car. I was wondering if this is a known issue and how it can be helped.

E-type 74 OTS gap between window and roof

Dear Geert,
If you take the door card out, you should be able to see how the base of the chrome frame is bolted to the bottom of the door. This controls the angle of the chrome frame inside which the window slides up and down.
kind regards
Marek

Stiff window frame rubbers can cause this as well. If the lower sections are had and stiff it can force the top of the glass out - so check to see if your rubbers are soft and supple.

Even if the lower rear rubbers are stiff, the cheeks of the hood frame onto which they fit can be adjusted. Of course all the frame fit adjustments should really be done before the top is fitted...

I have the same window/hood gap issue you describe with the V12 OTS I bought also. Can you advise if were able to solve the problem?
