Post by AussieEtype » Mon May 04, 2015 2:49 pm

Does anyone know if a XJS Brake/Clutch pedal box will go into a Series 3??

Thanks

Not even close. There are several different types depending on brake system but they are all huge and the base is at a steep angle. It won't even go on an XJ, never mind an E.

However, why bother? All E-type pedal boxes are the same after about 66 when the one-piece alloy version arrived. You just have to add the clutch pedal and master cylinder. It's already machined to accept them and there's a nylon spacer on the pivot shaft that you replace with spring and pedal.

Thanks Pete - it is just I can get a XJS version really cheap and if it fitted I would use it.
