Trying to debug my wiring loom installation is proving somewhat more troublesome than expected.
Does anyone have any photos from behind the centre console showing the correct location of the wires to the fuse banks.
The photos that I took are woefully inadequate...a salutary lesson to someone else contemplating the same :(
I currently have
hazard warning lights working but no indicators
heater fan working
lights working
windscreen wipers only working on low speed
no horn
I have a wiring diagram and have already resigned myself to a weekend with a multi-meter but if anyone has any photos they could post I would appreciate it

Note that the fuel pump doesn't always run off fuse 4.

That's not a s3 loom and doesn't do much to clarify the situation.
I do have photographs, but they also include my fuel injection alterations, so will similarly cloud the issue, although the underlying connections will be correct.
Use the US wiring diagram from xkedata.com as this has all of the extra options listed, e.g. seat belt warning, aircon, radio, etc. I'd wire it up like it is in that diagram and put labels on the ends under the dash.
Whilst I was in there, I also measured the current draw of each component and put fuses in which reflect this, rather than the blanket one value fits all Jaguar approach.
The only confusing parts are that some wires colours have multiple wires (e.g. brown and white wires mainly) and these go to different locations for different reasons. The oem wiring diagram tells you about the bullet connectors and splices so you should be able to label each wire.
Your fuel pump is unfused. You should change that. You can also alter the white feed so it is fused and bypasses the ignition switch if you so wish.
Be aware that most of the white wire applications run through the ignition switch and spliced together at the rhs side of the dash before the spur to the fuel pump. Also be aware that behind the tacho are two white wires in a block which would have looped to form the s2 inductive tacho feed - they are a legacy item and one of them loops out into the bulkhead.
If you have trouble with a couple of the console switches, bear in mind that they may be upside down as they may not be symmetrical.

Actually it is useful in that it shows all of loom's unfused inputs at the edges and all of the loom's fused outputs to the electrical items towards the centre. The s3 loom has many more connections "in the middle" but will be wired roughly the same at the two edges of the photograph.
