For those who plan to use a HE engine on the S3, this product could be helpful. This is particularly interesting for those who do not have the original engine.

An HE engine requires fuel injection. A better bet is to go to the AJ6 Engineering website and buy his conversion guide. In fact they are complementary, not competitive...

It is possible but difficult, to use a HE-motor with 4 Stromberg-carbs in a E-type. I have a 6,0L motor from a 93' XJ81 in my red EV12 with good result.
If you are mounting a 5,3L HE-motor into the E-type and change the original exhaust to a open big-bore system, the original programm of the injection-computer is not "fitting" very well.
I have checked 5,3er cars , which have been "okay".
A garage in Germany with a very experienced owner has done 3 conversions 6,0 L motor into the EV12 with a "remapped" computer from AJ6 in the last 10 years. The result was bad on all 3 cars. Bad iddle, low mileage, and low low- and midrange torque have been the result. The computers have been sent x-times to AJ6. The result changed, but was not good at the end.
