Hi does anyone know where I can get a new replacement windscreen for a S3 2+2, The local autoglass agent has had an order with SNG Barrett for about Six months now without success and I am losing patience with them. Also I understand there are various tinted versions available, mine is a clear version, were tinted windscreens available as standard, has anyone fitted a tinted version to replace their original clear one and if so does this look ok?

Hi Dave......try contacting Pilkington......they are reproducing E windscreans......also CMC in Bridgenorth who may help

I recently had a new screen from Pilkington for my OTS. Great service, all the tint and other options your could wish for and expedited delivery for a small surcharge. It fitted easily and best of all the top no longer leaks in the rain.

My replacement screen has finally arrived and been fitted without any issues, the chrome side finishers seem to be a tight fit but my question is should they be glued in place or not? On the old screen they were glued but the fitter said he did n't think it was necessary with the new screen as the fit was ok without, were they glued in when they came off the Jag production line?

Ps re the finishets dont know how they left the factory....but think most glue then on..Sikaflex

Thanks Steve, It finally came from SNG Barratts (although it took about 6months) the screen has triplex stamp and was fitted by the local autoglass agent. They said the screen went in without any issues. To be honest the fit looks better than the previous screen.
