Hello,

I am new to the forum so greetings to all ...

I have just imported a V12 Roadster 1973/4 LHD into the UK .. in order to pass the UK MOT and get it registered etc .. I guess I have to get headlights readjusted so they beam in the correct direction etc and a few other bits n bobs will need to be done? any advice and tips to do this and hopefully in a economically way? would be most appreciated.

Dear Paul,

You will need new sealed beam units (or the H4 equivalent) which dip the other way. The rear indicators need to be orange rather than red, which was standard on US spec.

The cheapest way to do that if you have US spec rear housings is to get a custom set of rear lenses made. The alternative is to purchase both UK spec rear housings and UK lenses as all-red rear lights will fail the MOT. Lucas never nade a red/orange combination rear lens which fitted the US housings.
