Hi All

Have the new loom to fit, reading the wiring diagram

Assume best thing to do is take bonnet off.

Is there easy access once off without the need to remove light fittings. Need to get to the connectors etc..

Can't be sure about a series three but I just replaced the loom on my S1. Access to each end was via the head lights. No need to remove the bonnet. You can probably remove the lights, chrome trim etc and remove the scoops. Below these will be the ends of the loom, the horns (on a series 1 anyway), connections to your indicators and on the near side the bonnet connector (socket end). Yours will be a bit different to mine but I would have thought you can do it without removing the bonnet. Took me a day.

P.S...I doubt you can do it without removing the head lights I am afraid....access to the bonnet connector and indicators is via the head lights.

Access isnt that easy on S3's through the headlight aperture as there isnt a big gap behind them. Access via the indicator openings is probably the easiest way, taking the bonnet off wont help that much really.

The loom can be fished through the bonnet underpan easy enough, making the connections and clipping cables will be the harder part but very do-able.

So the bonnet is now in the dinning room :-)

original wiring a right dogs dinner. So all coming out. have mapped the new loom. Just searching for a couple of indicator wiring pictures and side lights to make sure it all hooks up. As assume a couple of the wires double up.

new multi connector on its way, then hopefully all connected back up and good to go .

I usually stand the bonnet up, scuttle edge down. This gives reasonable access at a comfortable height to put the wiring in.
