Morning All

Planning to replace front discs and pads.

Question? will i need to replace bearings if i remove the hub, or will it stay intact and i can replace disc then refit.

Thx in advance

Hi Whats your name.....how about putting it in your signature line.......you should be ok removing and replaceing the existing bearing.....its quite detailed in the service manual...in the remove and refit hub section.....you will possibly need a hub puller.....and on refit a dial guage for end float of the hub.....having said that once removed check the oil seals and replace if damaged

You should not need a puller on the front . With pads out and the caliper off the stub axle, spin the disc and listen for bearing noise** , then you then remove the split pin, undo the nut and the outer bearing will then easily pull off together with the disc . Examine the bearing cage and rollers carefully having degreased them - if no noise and no sign of damage or foreign bodies such as stones, then the bearings should be ok.

** Glass of wine in one hand and mince pie in the other whilst doing this

Hi All

Have decided to replace bearings as well, as the cost is not too great and using the books Santa has delivered looks an easier job then first thought.

Happy New year to all
