#1 cool coolcat

Hi
I thought some might be interested in some recent experiences
with coolcat corp
I fitted one of their fans which was great, fitted perfectly, looked good and worked well.
Just slight niggle with the connection to the otter stat which appeared to vibrate loose resulting in overheating and failure of the stat,
Talked to Mike at coolcat who suggested i fitted a relay and a new stat.
He sent both relay kit and stat free of charge post paid,
I thought this was brilliant customer service, but read on,
some months/miles later this fault re-occured and once again a new stat fitted (wire off again) this seemed to come on after a high speed run
the next time out arrived home with steam from under the bonnet once again the wire was off but worse the fan had caught the radiator and split the core,
I talked to Mike at coolcat. who was completely surprised stating they had over a 1000 units sold and never had this problem
Without any hesitation Mike offered a replacement fan unit also a new alluminium radiator at half price !!
what service. all he asks is the old fan back for post mortem I have had several discussions with various people all agree with me the problem could be my engine running hot as the fan should off when at speed
and the resultimg airflow with the fan running has caused some distortion
Mike disagrees saying the fan should come on when needed and will check my old fan for some problem. I am not conviced he will find one
I think it's a very sound product and thier customer back up assistance is second to none.
So Cool coolcat brilliant thank you :D
Paul

Hi Paul,

By chance, do you have any picture of your problems, as my S1 is fitted with the Coolkat fan as well.
And I do not really understand how this happened to you. So you got me worried !!
Are you running the fan really close to the radiator ?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi
NO need to worry , I am sure this is to do with my engine running
a little hot and just a one off,
the point I was trying to make ,
How Coolcat dealt with my problem
they have just been fantastic
