Wheel colour .... I can take it

So just being nosey really who's got a preference ( or dislike ) on the colours of my wheels . The silver ones are shod with sticky expensive Avons cr6 and the black ones have a more road orientated tyre that is a bit cheaper . So more burn out and doughnut freindly .

A few of my chums prefer the black wheels saying it makes the car look ? ?? Older / more hard . And others prefer the silver wheels . Both sets are the same size with peg drive hubs , personally I urr to the black set ( don't need so much cleaning )
Maybe I should of stuck with wires ...... But I don't know how they would stand up to doughnuts
Any opinions...... Will be received lol I only sort of posted this for fun

both are really great. I've also got a black set and the D-Type rims. I agree with Steve, the spinners need to be different. Had the same thought with mine.

They’ve got a big hole in the middle, just make sure those fancy spinners are extra tight. If you are worried about the offset, just put them on back to front to match your cap.

Seriously though, as mentioned, I quite like the black but not sure how it will go with the red stripe you are thinking of doing. You need someone to mock it up on photoshop .

Black wheels look OK on modern SUVs but no good on older classics. I would change the wires back to silver or chrome - black just does not look right.

The black wheels make it look like someone has stolen your hub caps!

I would prefer the silver, especially on the D Type or E Type lightweight wheels.

Why not go retro and fit a set of Wolfrace 5 slots?

Its an E-Type, they both look awesome! Summer tyres on the alloys and winter tyres on the steels maybe??
whilst not original, I do also like chrome spinners against black wires. Youre obviously not chasing 'factory spec' so both look well suited

BTW Dont diss the Landie alloys! The 'Boost' wheel was the first thing I got into production and when I started at Land Rover 20+ years ago, and was fitted until end of production! Granted, its much better suited to a Defender than an E though!
