I received the following email from David Brown and I think he deserves all E-Type owners full support. Nice to have your car in there for the 50th!
"The JDC E Type Register publishes a Directory of E Types every 5 years. We are currently updating our records of over 6000 cars and 3000 owners for our 2011 Directory. In 2011, the E Type is 50 years of age and to mark the occasion, we are publishing a limited-edition Directory of E Types and their Owners (where permission is granted) and we would like you to help us make it as accurate and complete as possible. The Directory is a pocket sized publication, suitable for a car glove box, containing details of the cars we have on record plus details of owners where the owner has given us their explicit permission to publish their personal details (to comply with the Data Protection Act in the UK). The cars are listed by Chassis Number with a cross reference by Registration Number. It also contains vehicle production and performance statistics and copies of original Roadtests from Autocar. Norman Dewis has kindly agreed to write the Foreword.
If you have recently received a letter or an e-mail from us on this subject please make sure you have returned the completed form. However, we have lost contact with some owners because they have either moved house or we do not have sufficient address details. We also know that many owners have not given us details for the Directory. If you have not already returned a form to us or would like to give us details of your E Type(s) or, indeed, if you would simply like a copy of the Directory when it is published, please download the Registration Form (click on limk below) and send it to Petronel Payne, our Registrar. (Her address is on the form). As a non-profit making organisation, we only publish sufficient copies for advanced orders (See form for full details). If you want any of your personal details published, we need your form by 15 November 2010.
Thanks for your help.
Kind Regards,
David Brown

Note: there is no way of registering on-line, you have to download and fill in the form and send it to Petronel. You could always scan the completed form and email it I suppose.

I recommend scanning it - there are a lot of your financial details on the form and personally I am more comfortable with electronic transfer than paper mail....
Petronel will respond back to your email. Well she did for me anyway.
Cheers

yes mine also arrived today, i had a quick look at the chassis numbers section, to cross reference those from the jaguar cars record book printed in the 50 years jaguar book.
of the few that were listed, none had a name/email contact. i noticed chassis number 1E50273 in the jdc handbook, and so i looked on xkdata, but it was not listed.
i wonder if the present owner is aware that his car is in the 50 years of the e type book. showing original registration number/colour/key numbers etc. i`m sure he would love to know!
