#1 looking for early FHC rear light seals

Post by ahalma » Mon May 20, 2019 6:40 pm

I am the proud owner of an early FHC E-type, production date march 1962 to be more precise. Currently i am looking for new rubber seals to fit in between the car's body and the chrome plated rear light itself. Since these early cars have slightly different shaped bodies the rear lights and rubber gaskets of later cars will not fit. Currently i am trying to find the rubber gasket to replace the old, brittle and ill fitting ones currently installed.

The parts SNG is selling do unfortunately not fit my car. Does anybody know where i could source parts that will fit early
FHC cars? Any help or suggestion appreciated!

regards,

Anne

You could try COH Baines (https://coh-baines.co.uk/), whether they also supply the ones Barratts sell I don’t know but a lot of owners go to Baines

Anne, buy these from B.A.S. International ( http://www.car-hood.co.uk/plastic-mouldings ).
There surely fits, those from sng are flimsy and not fitting well.
