Hi all,
My father sold his 1965 Jaguar E-type around 1973/4 and had the reg number CRH 909C and was a white series 1 4.2 hardtop.
I have tried to find out about this car but have had know luck with tracing her with this reg number but I do have the old style green log book with the chassis number.
The chassis number is 1E 20046 and I have tried to trace this but cant find it on any register.
I hope this car has been registered under a new number but how do I find this out? DVLA have no info on the reg number so hope the chassis number will help.
She must still be out there!
Thanks
Oli.
Help finding my Fathers old E-Type S1 reg CRH 909C

Hmmm... it doesnt appear in any of the Etype register books i have (up to 2006) - but that doesnt mean its not still out there...
because of the chassis number I know its an early 4.2, built around October / November 1964 and would have been registered probably in January 65 but you will know all of this if you have the original log book.
I THINK the DVLA have a website where you can search on any registration number - you could try that and see what it comes up with.

Thanks for the reply and your not far out with the date of regstration.
She was registered on the 13th feb 1965 according to the log book I still have and its a shame I dont have the car to go with it!
I tried the DVLA website and also phoned them but have had no joy with this but have been told that there is a good chance the car might have been re registered.
I would love to find the car so my father could have another look at his pried and joy which he regrets selling.
Thanks for your reply.

Chrisc,
I have just noticed your chassis number is only 11 before my fathers car which is very close, did you notice this?
I am very jealous of your e type restoration and it looks like you have made a fine job doing it.
Thanks again.

XKE Data #1E20046 (specification: series 1, right-hand drive, fixed-head coupe) is not in the database.
You might try to find similar cars on our search page, or enter it into the database if you know something we don't.
its not on the xke data website, but maybe you could list it, as last known, and you might get some follow-up.

#6 Fathers old e type
Yea thanks for the reply,
I have checked that web site and had the same result as you did.
I have also put it on the lost or found section I think but I have visited so many web sites in the last couple of years I have lost track.
Thanks and I will keep trying to find her.
