Wheel arch liners

Does anyone know if wheel arch lines are available for S1 E’s. I can foresee a problem with my all Ali shell, sticky tyres and gravel drive. If there are no specific liners are there any generic that could be adapted?

If you have no joy finding liners, what about a clear vinyl stone chip protection film? 3m do one that is 14mil ( about 0.3mm) thick.
Some sort of protection is probably a good idea. Speaking to Andy at Hutsons who fitted an alloy bonnet to a customer’s car, outward dings from stones hitting the underside were a problem.

Sounds like an opportunity to mould some carbon fibre ones. Would get you bragging rights.

The shell including the bonnet is already painted and the underside including the wings has a light stone chip under the body colour. I am collecting a pair of Ducati rear wing arch liners tomorrow for a look see. Perhaps they can be modified somehow.

Hi , I'm running an Ali bonnet and so far so good I've done about a thousand miles now , I doubt if sticky tyres on a gravel drive flicking up at driveway speed are going to cause any dings if any damage at all , also sticky tyres aren't usually sticky unless properly up to temp ,

Since I'm gong for the 'heavy patina' look I'm not too worried. During its pre-modification life as a Lynx bonnet it never got wheel arch dents, but that could be down to stiffening from the heavy layer of skim all over it under the paint.

What about sticking a layer of Flintkote or other dense sound-deadening material direct to the metal, then spraying to match?

Ducati arch liners turned up and they are a workable solution for the rears. Could be useful for a road car where you wish to keep the mud off the metal
