Hi everyone. Got my first e-type early this year, so I'm new to all this. I got a lot of help and advice from a very patient friend (ChrisC) and read as much as I could before I took the plunge.
Did a fairly major mechanical overhaul then crossed my fingers and went to Classic Le Mans in July with a few friends. Made it there and back with the original fan! Also been commuting to work in the dry. Slight running niggle has now developed (I suspect due to original wiring!) but was going to put her away for the winter soon in any case.
Picture at Honfleur en route to Classic Le Mans. We had a 1949 MGTC 'pace' car in the group so stayed overnight on the way down.
Forum looks great - wish I'd joined sooner!
Cheers

Hi Justin,
I also went to Le Mans last July and had a great time (but sooo hot hot !!). A warm welcome to this forum and you will find there are truly a big number of etype "guru's " lurking about here. I know they helped me out many times.
Enjoy and hopefully see you on the road one day !
cheers
Erik

Thanks for the welcome guys. Glad of any help or advice - I need it.
Le Mans must have got to 40 C - 2 guys in our group had a Lotus Europa and they took a thermometer in their cockpit as a precaution. It showed 53 C in the traffic driving into the campsite!
User id isn't my reg - Swansea issued a standard F-reg age related suffix plate to my car in the mid eighties which I'm considering changing.
Stunning looking car Steve
Cheers
