V12 2+2 Coupe converting to DHC - Feasible?

The E type does not have a Chassis.....its a monocoque construction so if you alter it to an ots you should inform DVLA that its body type is no longer a 2+2

Just as an update and for anyone considering this conversion please see the following reply from Keith Vincent...I explained the situation and my thoughts re registration.....
"DVLA insist that, even if the conversion is carried out professionally, this is a major structural change and would result in the original VIN and registration being withdrawn and a Q plate issued.
One of our members went through this experience with his car having been professionally converted. Despite appeals and letters from myself and the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, DVLA would not reconsider."

Jay Lenos car certainly had some extensive work done, I think the American Laws must be easier regarding modifications.
I'm still looking into it, and haven't given up on the idea yet. If it looks like the paperwork can all be sorted out then I'll go for it.
