#1 New owner in not so sunny Scotland!

Post by sulzeruk » Tue Nov 23, 2010 3:42 pm

Hi all, just bought a 1970 Series 2 FHC. It has been stood a few years but is generally in good nick. Seems to be matching numbers as well looking at data from XKEdata.com. Crar will need a bit of welding to the back of the sills and a good going over of the brakes and probably a full spray before hitting the road again. Got an old 911 to finish first before starting on thsi so can't wait to get going! Always wanted one.

Hi Alasdair and welcome to the Forum. Quite a few members are Porsche fans. Feel free to dive in with any questions.

Hi Alisdair,
Also from me a warm welcome. You have definitely come to the right place. There are some real etype goeroes lurking around here.
Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome, also have a plus 2 Lotus to get shot of if anyone is looking for a nice plus 2 that has just been recommisioned for the road! That is going to help pay for the E type! Already spent an hour browsing the forum and there seems to be quite a lot of info on here, well worth joining up. The Porsche is a 1980 SC that needs to be finished for April as it is taking me on a 3000 mile European tour hopefully. Still to get all the wings off for new kidney bowls and B posts, windscreen surround repairs, full respray, etc, etc, the clock is ticking....
