Hi all,
Bit of a weird one. When Switched on the hazards only flash on the right hand side. No left hand side at all. indicators work as normal.
I replaced the flasher unit with a solid state one to resolve another issue but the panel direction lights don't work to show which side you are directing to.
Car is Series 1.5 1968.
Looked at the wiring diagram and running out of ideas.
Thanks, Adam

Hi Adam,
I had this problem recently on my car and it turned out to be a broken rocker switch inside. One side of the copper contact had broken off after the switch had felt a little stiff, it had just worn out and snapped after 49 years

Hello Adam,
some years ago I had the same problem. In my case it was a loose connector in one of the wires coming from the hazardlight Switch. The connector is located behind the dashboard on the left side of the my LHD car. Maybe it is different to RHD cars.
Regards Joerg

Thanks for replies. Well that saved me time! Wire had come off connector of rocker switch. Now working wonders. Still having issues with the indicator panel lights not working when I fitted a electrical flasher relay but still works with the mechanical one?
Thanks Adam

The dash lights are fed from a separate output from the old mechanical - actually a thermal type flasher. Possibly your new electronic one does not have this output? Else maybe it is faulty?

Yes I thought I would go for the more modern electrical unit and got this model number GFU2103X bought from a local store. The connectors are the same as the unit it replaced. Not sure if you can tell if it's incorrect for the panel lights to work. Was hoping this would be the answer to any trouble but didn't want to go back to the thermal type
Any more thoughts ?
