I need to change the speedometer dial on my ex USA S1,5 from MPH to Km /h. I have removed the instrument from the car and removed the glass from the instrument.
The gauge face is secured to the instrument with two small screws. Question, how is the indicator pointer afixed to the instrument. I guess it is not simply pressed on.
Thanks

Speedometer conversion
#2 Re: Speedometer conversion
Hi Mike
Yes, Simply press on a tapered axle.
Your needle is actually stop at 0 by a small wire.
After refit the needle you'll need to reset this "0" because its' legeremently in tension.
If you want to have you speedometer with a good calibration and the odometer in "meter", send it to :

The job is very fine and for a good price.
