Hi Chris..I assume they must have replaced the complete mainshaft with one from an overdrive gearbox...as you cant just take the tail section off a 2+2 box and bolt on an o/d....anyway...it all looks good...yes your probably correct re the prop..its the same length if you replace the 2+2 manual box with an o/d box.....Steve

Yes you are right the whole main shaft was replaced.

Hi all, been a while.

The car is now fully painted, 4.2 engine rebuilt but I'm stuck on the gearbox end

There is this on ebay. With your extensive knowledge what am I looking at work and cost wise to get this up and running and in the car

I should add I do still have my gearbox from a 3.8L manual S1 if thats possible to use
