Yes Coopercraft are larger four piston calipers which is why I was disappointed with the amount of effort needed at the pedal. With the 5/8" master cyls less effort was required. I notice no difference in the pedal travel if the brakes are bled of all air and the linkages adjusted correctly.

Sorry Layne, I don't know the piston size. I believe they are the same as Ser 2 front caliper small pistons, just four of them instead of two alongside a larger one. Coopercraft don't state the size on their website but if I can verify I'll post it. The benefit to me was the increased brake pad area.

Brakes are functioning well with good balance front to rear. Broke in new pads and have tested with hard braking with positive results. Have installed original Dunlop 5/8" MCs with different stroke distances, orig front calipers to rear, and the Wilwood 4 piston (small pistons) at the front. Finally got it bled out which was more of an issue than it should have been but evidently had a stubborn pocket that we worked out.

Thanks for all the help.

I have exactly the same problem, I will let you know when (if!) I find a solution.

Tried everything, every method, every suggestion, still got air in rear system. Clamping the flexi (to rear cage) gives a solid pedal so the M/C is fine.

I did get it, just drove and bled, drove and bled. Why? Don't know.
