#1 Snow makes my computer hot

Post by abowie » Sat Dec 26, 2020 10:46 pm

For the last week I've been wondering why my CPU fan was noisy,

It never has been before.

I've finally worked out why. The "snow" effect uses a lot of CPU power.

When I flip from Google to the Forum my CPU usage jumps from around 3% to an average of 60% on all 4 cores! Coupled with this my core temperatures jump 15 degrees.

Well take your computer outside into the sun (the Brits would not know what that is  ) and let the snow melt

Well spotted Andrew. I have stopped the snow and your PC should cool down quickly.
