#1 IRS bushes

Hi all,
I’m just refitting my IRS after having Alan Slawson rebuild to a 3.07 unit.
Been reasonably plain sailing so far as I had the unit out a couple of years ago to renew brake calipers etc.
My car is ex California and as part of the works at that time I fitted new bushes to the trailing arms. The original metalastics being very heat hardened.
The car has done limited mileage since then so I was totally shocked to see that the large bush in the arm was split fully around the circumference. I’ll admit that I purchased aftermarket items but these were from a major supplier ( we can’t name but I will say it wasn’t SNG or Robey or Manners).
So maybe I expected more - but total failure!

I’m now faced with looking at all of these rubber items, think I will start with rack mountings, I’m just going to check and not change unless I see issues.
Series 1 FHC purchased 40 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.
