They are shims, or more accurately packing pieces, and there are two locations I can think of where they might go
1.On top of and/or underneath the central chrome pillar to which the rear quarter windows fasten
2. between the horizontal frame of the windows and the top land of the door - however these I think tend to be thinner than those
There may be other locations but at present I can't think of them

No...Neither of those.
the center pillar ones are very thin chrome.
Door top/window frame jobbie are different size
And much to small for bonnet hinge....thats a std size envelope they're sitting on.
Keep going.....it's doing my head in

Christopher is correct. Those are shims used to establish the correct height of the door frames on the FHC.

Hi I can agree they are from under the window frame
fit between the door top and the frame to adjust the height

Well something is going wrong then because I thought exactly the same....even took them up with the body and frames etc to be fitted up pre paint and they dont line up with the holes that are in the door or the frame.
The holes appear to close together

For info: my window/door frame shims/packers are single U shape and there are 6 holes on each door (series 1 FHC). Looking at these packers I would say the holes look a little too close to each other to fit my car.

It doesn't say anywhere that you have to use both the holes they are only packing pieces / shims.

Talking of the door frame shims I need some as mine have run off and hidden. They do not appear on the sng barratt website under the original part number. I know I could make some but easier to buy nice new plated ones. Anybody managed to buy these?
