It looks an exciting project, and I wish you as much pleasure from it as I got from my decidedly non-original restoration. Even a wash will improve matters immeasurably!

well thank you for all the advice and suggestions. I had been wondering about that book, so you have helped me in making my mind up, thanks.
I intend to have a real session with this car at the weekend, taking detail photo graphs of all of it. Of course I will stick the photos up on my Photobucket page for reference. It has been a bit of a survivor and I guess that make sit a fairly rare item in RHD form anyway. I was pleased to see the little green sticker was still on the speedo, although maybe there are many cars with that.
