Series 1 FHC purchased 50 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.

Couldn’t have done it without the help Tim, like I said never heard of such a thing as a speedi sleeve.
I’d of been looking all over the net for the answer.. :thankyouyellow:

S1 2+2 manual. (Sold)
S2 rhd OTS full resto finished 8/23
S1 3.8 coupe (full restoration now sold)

In a similar scenario it is usually possible to slacken off the engine mounts and stabiliser and “persuade” the engine forward half an inch or more. I had to do it when fitting a Guy Broad 5-speed in an FHC for someone.

Thanks peter, hopefully I’ll never need to do it again, but if so I’ll bear that in mind....
Just to conclude this topic I today took the car out for a spirited 50 mile jaunt..
Got her home and delighted, bone dry!
So there you have it it works a treat, and so easy to do.
